OUR GOAL

At Sun City Arizona Radio, our mission is to bring the residents of the "original" Sun City the very best in commercial-free music and up-to-date information about all the wonderful things our community has to offer-whether you're right here at home or listening from afar.

Yes! As former Members of the Sun City in Focus Committee who have been and are still dedicated to keeping you informed about your community, we are continuing to produce Videos.  We would love to cover your upcoming event, if possible. Leave us a message on our Home page.

Please visit our Facebook and Video Tabs on this website and don't forget to subscribe, like and share either on YouTube or Facebook.

We cover numerous functions throughout the year, including charities, car shows and various community events.  If you have an event you would like us to promote or possibly cover, let us know by visiting the home page and pressing the "let us know" button.

Land based (terrestrial) radio stations have upfront costs of up to $500k and annual operating costs of 250k.   And, the audience area is limited to a few miles.  Streaming on the other hand, has significantly lower startup and operating costs, and the audience reach is basically unlimited.  Anyone in the world with either a smart phone, smart device or computer and internet service can listen to SCAZRadio.  By Streaming SCAZRadio, a Sun City Resident traveling home to Germany or Wisconsin can listen to SCAZRadio and find out what is happening here in town.  They cannot do that on AM/FM radio.

Be prepared.

Watch the RCSC Video to learn how to use both models currently used at the RCSC facilities. In the future AVIVE will be used, but until then you may have both Zoll & AVIVE at the Rec Centers.

The Sun City Fire and Medical Department has a special lock box available to residents in our community which serves as a security box that would be used for an emergency situation where the resident is unable to get to the door to allow personnel in to assist. The box has a locking faceplate on the front of it. This box is mounted to your home so that if a resident has a medical emergency, the Fire Department could immediately use the keys locked inside of the box rather than causing damage to your home, every second counting during a medical emergency.

Please call the office at 623-974-2321 (Monday-Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) to schedule an installation appointment or click the link below to get started.

Currently the Price for a new box is $80. Appointment are Free!

The Sun City Community Assistance Network offers assistance in paying for the box if you meet the qualifications. Contact them at 623-933-7530 to get approved prior to scheduling a lock box installation.

The Sun City Fire and Medical Department can install a smoke detector in your home for free.  We can install your detector, replace an existing one or install a new one in homes that do not have any.  We will not disconnect any smoke detectors that are connected to the homes power supply, but we can assist in replacing batteries in the smoke detector(s).  As part of our Smoke Detector Program, we perform a Home Safety Survey which will help you identify safety concerns in your home with a 38-point checklist of safety concerns within your home.

Appointments are FREE!

Sun City Home Owners Association (SCHOA) and the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO)  joined forces for a Sun City Safety & Fraud Town hall.
The event featured keynote speakers Maricopa County Sheriff Jerry Sheridan, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell and Maricopa County Supervisor Debbie Lesko.
“Sun City residents are often the target of increasingly complex scams and fraud schemes,” said SCHOA General Manager Lisa Gray.  “This event brings together our public safety leaders for the sole purpose of educating and empowering our community to avoid being a victim. I highly encourage our residents to attend this event.”

Presentations were made by various departments within the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office and included MSCO District III crime stats, information on common scams, along with crime and fraud prevention.
